Hockey Turf

There are two hockey turfs with a Pavilion in between.

The layout and calibre of the facilities make it an ideal location for hockey tournaments.

The facility features the same surface that has been used at the recent Tokyo Olympic Games, and after several years of planning world class LED lights has just been installed on Turf 1 to upgrade the facility to higher standards and allow Nelson Hockey Association to host International and more National events soon.

There is now 28 new led fittings at the existing poles that provides high quality lighting for upcoming events.

Capacity: Venue Capacity 1,000 • Grandstand reserved seating:100 • Large marquee can be set up on paved area in front of Pavilion and between the 2 Artificial Surfaces, which can be enclosed or left as an overhead cover only
Facilities: 2 x water based turfs, 2 LED Scoreboards- Wireless connection, Competition standard LED lighting – 500 lux,

If travelling by car, use one of the entrances on Suffolk Road. The Hockey Turf is opposite Two Oaks Green.
