Saxton Field is proud to be the home of the Nelson Heat.

Established in 2016, it didn't take long before Nelson Heat Baseball Club was awarded Baseball Club of the Year in 2020. With a Teeball tournament for the little ones and baseball for all ages, the Club has a community of ball players, volunteers, and supporters who enjoy the game on the field and from the sidelines.

Find where to play Baseball in Nelson

The Baseball diamonds are on Champion Green, most easily accessed via the entrance off Champion Road, with plenty of parking.

Please note that the Champion Road entrance is blocked just beyond the Velodrome, and doesn't have thoroughfare vehicle access to the northern areas and facilities of Saxton Field.
